Dear Princess Celestia,

I recently learned how friendship can be found in even the most unexpected of people and how true friendship can heal wounds faster and better than time ever could.

I have regained the friendship of a person very dear to me and for the first time in many years I feel genuinely at peace. Pain, sadness, and loneliness have melted away and I can genuinely smile at life once more.

I experienced firsthand how life can throw you surprises you may have never expected and that the bad times are never truly forever. I am overjoyed to have this person in my life again and to be able to share in friendship once more.

It took me a long time to write this. Not because of length, though it’s longer than any of the other letters, but because of getting it right. The wrong pen, the wrong ink, it was never right. I found this ink and it’s rather lovely, so I knew I had to use it.

First, to discuss the letter itself. I took some creative license in the wording, to make it more in the form of a letter (I have books on the subject). And most importantly I wanted to raise attention to the ink used, I do not know what the purpose is of signing the letter “with blood” but when I saw that line I knew I needed to make a special order for this ink. This is called Diamine Oxblood, it is a deep carmine red/brown that is designed to look like dried blood. Which is pretty badass.

Secondly, to address the content of the letter. School, especially if you’re still in middle school or high school, is an absolutely atrocious place to form lasting friendships. Ignore the bullshit cliques and social circles, the fake “popular” guys and girls who will go nowhere in life, judgemental ignorant people, and the godawful excuse for an education system that’s at least 50 years out of date with modern society. Socialize with people who get you, there are plenty of social venues you can pursue with like minded people, meetup.com probably has a Brony meetup in your area unless you live in the middle of nowhere. We’re all as alone as we want to be.

This was a challenge. The paper it is written on is new for me, it’s super high quality paper called Clairfontaine Triomphe. I’m not used to it, so I felt like it was a little difficult to write smoothly. Not sure how to explain the issue, it just feels different. Nevertheless the ink is a lovely brown that I think came out well, one day I’ll get a better scanner and update the photo. This was also a very nice letter, I enjoyed writing it.
